* Domain renewals are every two years. I always give you 3 months warning of renewal.
* Hosting is billed $50 every 12 month cycle from the start month of your website.
The more often you update, the higher up the food chain you go. There is a lot of competition out there! Sites that are payed attention to, are sites that go to the top. Marketing is also key. So don't rule out telling people about your great new site!
